Cloud computing has come a long way since it was first flagged as a forward-looking prospect by some researchers. The early history of cloud computing takes human beings back to the late twentieth century when computing services began. Cloud computing is a natural evolution of the widespread adoption of virtualization, service-oriented architecture, and computing utility. The basic idea is that end-users no longer need knowledge or control over the “cloud” technology infrastructure that supports them. Today, practically all software services are Cloud-based. Hence, it is very important to know how to design and deploy Cloud-based computing solutions considering the theoretical background.
