English Communication: Independent User Level I is designed for fourth-semester students in the Licenciatura en Español e Inglés program, aiming to develop their communicative competence at a B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This course focuses on strengthening students' ability to understand and produce spoken and written English in a variety of familiar contexts, improving fluency, accuracy, and interaction skills.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar topics related to work, studies, and leisure.
- Engage in conversations on topics of personal interest, expressing opinions and exchanging information.
- Write coherent texts on familiar subjects, describing experiences, events, and opinions with appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
- Demonstrate control over basic grammatical structures while improving accuracy and range in oral and written communication.
"Aula virtual" serves as the primary platform guiding students through the course methodology, syllabus, activities, and assessment criteria. It provides access to:
- Weekly instructional materials and exercises.
- Speaking, listening, reading, and writing tasks aligned with CEFR B1 objectives.
- Interactive forums for discussion and collaborative learning.
- Guidelines for assessments, rubrics, and feedback mechanisms.
This system is designed to support students’ progress, offering a structured yet flexible learning experience to enhance their English proficiency.
