This course has been designed for the students of the first semester of the  Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages with an  Emphasis on English, who are at a false- beginning level and who need to acquire a solid foundation of the linguistic system of the language they will learn. This will enable them to have enough tools to move to a lower intermediate level. Students are going to be exposed to authentic reading and listening material and the speaking practice will be based on real world tasks. The tasks will contribute to the students’ building-up of the grammatical foundation accompanied with a strong development of the vocabulary needed to communicate in everyday situations at their level.
