This course aims at providing graduate students with a comprehensive understanding of Language Learning Strategies (LLS) and their role in second language development. Students will critically examine and articulate their own beliefs about LLS while exploring major theoretical perspectives, key frameworks, and pedagogical applications. Through the analysis and synthesis of current research, learners will develop the ability to identify issues, evaluate the scope of LLS in contemporary EFL contexts, and apply strategic principles to classroom practice. The course also equips students with the foundational knowledge necessary to formulate research questions and design research proposals that investigate the complexities of LLS within academic and professional settings.
