This class intends to develop students' skills in English so that they can achieve the following goals:

1. Understand main ideas in complex texts about concrete and abstract topics, including aspects on their own fields of study.
2. Achieve a level of regular interaction with native speakers of the language through fluenty and spontaneous speech without major inconvenients for both parts.
3. Produce a clear and detailed text about a variety of contemporary topics in which the student can explain his/her own point of view as well as the advantages or disadvatanges among varied options.
