The course is designed to provide student-teachers with more specific skills regarding evaluation, assessment, and test construction. This course complements previous courses related to L2 methodology, and SLA, and focuses on enabling students to deal with terminology in the field of assessment and clarify the ambiguity related to the issue. The course is also concerned with the design of instruments to appropriately assess language development in an integrated way, according to the current trends in L2 teaching/learning.

This course has been designed to develop the students’ academic writing skills and bibliographic research. The focus of this course involves helping students build their proficiency and self-reliance through writing a Research Paper. At the same time, the students will improve their critical reasoning and research skills by reading, comparing, contrasting, discussing, and writing about topics related to education and general issues, considering the students’ wants and interests.
