Esta asignatura comprende el estudio de las normas, leyes, decretos, resoluciones, acuerdos y demás políticas emanadas por el gobierno,  sobre la educación en general y sobre la enseñanza de las lenguas extranjeras en relación a:lineamientos curriculares, estándares para la enseñanza de los idiomas y Programa Nacional de Bilingüismo (PNB) (DBA, DUA, etc).
